After trying different SD card images, following tutorials on the interwebs, I finally got google assistant working on a raspberry pi 3. Just using an old guitar hero microphone for testing and the 3.5mm audio output jack is connected to powered speakers on the bench. A mini USB microphone and small speaker amp (to power an old 8ohm speaker) is on order from ebay, once they are here, I will put it all into box to make it a bit more portable. Maybe use a cardboard box like the google voice kit which this is based on. Artie's favourite thing to ask is "how many poo poo and wee wees are there in the world"! Is that all four year olds think about?
